This is a re-cap blog of 2-3 week trip to the southern.
Given the unusually warm winter we decided we would head south. After all we heard the swamps were being drained we had to find out how that was going.
So we invited Carol's niece, the lovely Miss Alyssa down to take care of all the kitties and we were ready to push off.
Not so quick.
We both contracted this years variant of the influenza virus that got me to the doctors for some of that great opioid laced cough medicine. I'm not sure it helped but with the self-prescribed 2 big glasses of gin per day therapy I was already on it sure made for some wierd dreams.
We finally got out a couple of days later, headed the long way through Kinston and ate at the Boiler Room. We were too early for the Chef & The Farmer. PBS dweebs know how in the know we are.
Anyway, food was good.
Back on the road we made Congaree National Park (Old growth trees) in South Carolina to get warmed up for some real swamps. Then we the the old Okefenokee!!.
Gatuhs!.... I say a whole bunch o Gatuh's
I forgot to add we did a drive by of Jekyll Island.... Very southern.
